Accreditation and validity
- Validity: One full calendar year from the issue date.
- Accreditation: Under the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (1968), to which the Kingdom is a party.
- Issuing authority: The Saudi Automobile Federation, a member of FIA, ACTAC and AIT.
Important
The international permit cannot be used inside Saudi Arabia, as it is the issuing country.

How is it different from the IDA permit?
The Federation permit is issued by the Saudi Automobile Federation and is valid for one year, while the International Drivers Association (IDA) permit comes as a plastic card and a digital copy with validity of up to three years.
